Payer Authentication

CyberSource Payer Authentication Service gives you the online payment guarantees offered by Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programmes, plus optional additional fraud screening protection, via one easy connection. The programmes verify the cardholder's identity directly with the card issuer in real-time to increase payment security and reduce the risk of fraud.

Note: MasterCard had previously announced that after June 2007 online merchants will no longer be able to process Maestro debit transactions unless they support MasterCard SecureCode.
